Glazing

Double glazing is the standard choice for most replacement windows in UK homes. Two panes of glass are sealed together with an insulating gap between them, helping reduce heat loss and outside noise compared with single glazing.

It offers a good balance of thermal performance, comfort and cost, making it suitable for most rooms and property types.

Triple glazing uses three panes of glass and two insulating gaps, giving a higher level of thermal performance than standard double glazing.

It can be useful in colder or more exposed parts of a property, north-facing rooms or homes where reducing outside noise is particularly important. Because triple-glazed units are heavier, we'll check that the frame and opening are suitable before recommending them.
